App Store Connect requires Dynamic Island medium screenshots (1206 × 2622 or 1179 × 2556 px) for iPhone apps, plus 13-inch iPad screenshots (2064 × 2752 or 2048 × 2732 px) if your app runs on iPad. Large sizes such as 1320 × 2868 px are optional. Apple updates these lists, so confirm in App Store Connect before submitting.
Google Play accepts JPG or 24-bit PNG screenshots between 320 and 3840 px per side, with the long side no more than twice the short side. A 9:16 portrait size such as 1080 × 1920 px is recommended. The feature graphic must be exactly 1024 × 500 px.

The most common reasons are the wrong pixel dimensions and images with an alpha channel or transparency. This tool exports exact store sizes and saves PNGs as 24-bit RGB without alpha, which avoids both problems.
The App Store allows up to 10 screenshots per device size. Google Play allows up to 8 per device type and needs at least 2 to publish. This generator lets you build sets of up to 10 screens.
